The Caregiver – Intellectual & Developmental Disability role is onsite in Amarillo, TX, with pay of $15.66 per hour. Texas Panhandle Centers is a nonprofit behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability provider serving the Texas Panhandle. The role provides trauma-informed direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in day habilitation and individual skills and socialization programs. It helps clients participate in daily activities, build independent living and social skills, and access community experiences.

What you'll do

• Provide supervision and care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• perform direct care and clerical duties
• provide transportation
• assist with feeding and toileting
• distribute medication
• escort clients to community activities
• teach social and independent living skills
• complete service documentation within 48 hours
• follow the business code of conduct and report concerns.
