What you'll do

• Interventional radiologic technologist assists physicians with image guided minimally invasive procedures in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Providing the highest quality of care, they treat an ever-widening range of conditions inside the body from outside the body by inserting various small instruments or tools, such as catheters or wires, with the use of various x-ray and imaging techniques (i.e., CT scanners, MRI scanners, ultrasound scanners).
• The technologist is responsible for maintaining sterile technique, operation of equipment, quality assurance of imaging and compassionate patient care.
• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• At least 1 year of X-Ray experience.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
