The Rheumatologist role is full-time and onsite in Rutland, VT, with annual compensation of $295,000–$365,000. The position is in an outpatient specialty clinic with inpatient consultation support and joins an established clinical team. The physician evaluates and treats rheumatic, autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders, developing individualized treatment plans and monitoring therapy. The role contributes to coordinated chronic disease care through collaboration with primary care, specialty physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation professionals.

What you'll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat rheumatic, autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders
• obtain histories and perform examinations
• interpret laboratory tests and imaging
• develop individualized treatment plans
• prescribe and monitor medications including DMARDs, biologics, corticosteroids, and immunomodulatory therapies
• perform office-based procedures such as joint injections and aspirations as indicated
• educate patients and families
• maintain EMR documentation
• collaborate with interdisciplinary providers
• participate in protocol development, provider meetings, peer reviews, utilization management, and call coverage as assigned.
