Dental Hygienist

The Dental Hygienist role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, with a schedule of 2–4 consistent days per week. Compensation is $50–$75 per hour, depending on the hygiene schedule. Dental Nook is a locally owned practice with a periodontal-focused team and a purpose of improving lives through long-term oral health. The hygienist provides preventive and periodontal care, identifies and manages disease, and educates patients so they can understand and participate in recommended care. The role also supports continuity through clinical documentation, communication with doctors, and direct patient handoffs.

What you'll do

• Provide adult and pediatric preventive care
• perform scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance
• use periodontal laser therapy when clinically indicated
• administer local anesthetic for periodontal treatment and assist the doctor with anesthetic when needed
• complete periodontal charting, radiographs, risk assessments, and documentation
• communicate findings
• educate patients
• provide clinical handoffs
• and follow sterilization, infection-control, and safety protocols.
