Principal Software Engineer

The Principal Software Engineer is an onsite role based in Carmel, IN, with a salary range of $163,400.00 - $272,300.00 per year. This position supports the Cox Automotive AI platform team. This role exists to own the technical direction for the AWS Quick platform and the internal AI Artifact Hub. The engineer will make key architecture decisions, lead implementation, and ensure the platform meets enterprise standards for reliability and security.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end architecture for the AWS Quick customization layer.
• Define Model Context Protocol (MCP) strategy.
• Own technical direction of the AI Artifact Hub.
• Establish quality and evaluation approaches for AI capabilities.
• Lead architecture and design reviews.
• Set production reliability standards.
