Therapeutic Recreation Specialist — Adolescent Residential Treatment

The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist works in person at two residential treatment facilities in Danville and Lewisburg, PA. Pay is $21–$25 per hour. The role supports DTAC’s residential treatment program for male adolescents ages 8–18 through structured, trauma-informed recreation. Working with an interdisciplinary treatment team, the specialist uses recreational programming to promote emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, and positive behavioral change. The role includes individualized and group treatment planning, client supervision, documentation, and collaboration with clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Ensure client safety and supervision
• conduct functional baseline assessments
• develop and implement individual and group recreation treatment plans
• facilitate on-site and off-site activities and skills groups
• support clinical models including DBT-A
• document progress and incidents
• collaborate with treatment team members
• transport clients when required.
