The Head Start Substitute I role is onsite in Show Low, AZ, with pay of $15.30 per hour and up to 35 hours per week. The position supports continuity of care for children enrolled in the Head Start program of the Northern Arizona Council of Governments. The substitute provides classroom supervision, supports learning and safety, and helps maintain program services when a regular staff member is absent. The role also assists with family engagement, documentation, screenings, and meal service in accordance with program standards.

What you'll do

• Welcome families and support attendance activities
• supervise children in classroom and outdoor activities
• assist with learning activities and positive guidance
• support lesson planning and collect observations and child work
• complete documentation and follow mandatory child-abuse reporting protocols
• prepare and serve meals and snacks
• maintain food areas and equipment
• assist with screenings and parent-teacher conferences.
