Senior Principal Engineer – Water/Wastewater

Senior Principal Engineer – Water/Wastewater is an onsite role in Blacksburg, VA. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 per year, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Rinker Design Associates’ new Blacksburg office will support its established Southwest Virginia offices and regional growth. This senior leadership role provides technical direction, project oversight, and client engagement while developing staff and supporting strategic growth. It contributes to regional success through engineering quality, client relationships, operational planning, and expansion of services and markets.

What you'll do

• Provide executive-level oversight and technical direction on complex transportation and infrastructure projects
• serve as Engineer of Record as appropriate and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Review and approve designs, calculations, plans, specifications, and deliverables. Advise public-sector and institutional clients, maintain and expand client relationships, support proposals and interviews, mentor engineers and project managers, and contribute to growth initiatives, operational planning, financial performance, and resource management.
