The In-Person Tutor works onsite at assigned Pennsauken Public Schools sites in the Cherry Hill, NJ listing area. The role is part-time, during the school day, with availability needed between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Compensation is $30 per hour. The tutoring program serves students in grades 5–8 at Pennsauken Intermediate School and Pennsauken Phifer Middle School. The tutor provides focused small-group instruction in either English language arts or math to help students address academic gaps and progress toward grade-level proficiency. The role supports that goal by adapting instruction, tracking student progress, and coordinating with teachers, school staff, and program coordinators.

What you'll do

• Deliver small-group tutoring in either ELA or math
• adapt instruction for students performing two or more grade levels below expectations
• monitor progress toward grade-level proficiency and the program’s 60% growth goal
• align tutoring with classroom instruction in collaboration with teachers and school staff
• maintain a supportive learning environment
• communicate student progress, attendance, and concerns to program coordinators
• keep attendance and performance records.
