What you'll do

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• perform quantity takeoffs for excavation, grading, utilities, paving, and related site work
• prepare cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and overhead
• solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• analyze project risks, site conditions, and requirements
• prepare bid packages and proposals
• attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
• coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership
• maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and production rates
• assist with project handoffs
• monitor market pricing and supplier relationships
• ensure estimates meet company standards and project specifications.
