The Plant Issue Resolution Engineer, Body and Closure Systems role is onsite in Hayward, CA, five days in the office. Pay is $70–$78.57 per hour. The role supports vehicle development and the Trim & Lighting, Fleet Support Engineering, and Sustaining Team, helping ensure autonomous vehicles are ready for production. The engineer leads rapid containment and resolution of manufacturing issues identified during assembly and end-of-line validation. By coordinating root-cause analysis and durable corrective actions across engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and operations, the role supports vehicle quality, production efficiency, and fleet reliability.

What you'll do

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning for issues across door systems, latches, actuators, sealing, access panels, glazing, and body structures
• define containment and rework plans
• lead cross-functional root-cause analysis and drive Design for Manufacturing improvements
• support permanent corrective actions, prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes
• maintain issue metrics and reporting.
