Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Assistant role is an onsite position in Parker, Colorado. Compensation is $16–$20 per hour. Veterinary Center of Parker is an AAHA-accredited hospital focused on preventative wellness and integrative treatments. The assistant supports veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and front-office staff in caring for animal patients and serving their owners. Duties span clinical support, client communication, laboratory preparation, patient care, and hospital upkeep.

What you'll do

• Obtain samples and set up laboratory procedures
• communicate with and educate clients
• assist with medical procedures and treatments
• fill and explain medications
• operate and maintain instruments and equipment
• provide daily treatment to hospitalized patients
• assist in radiology
• answer phones and help schedule appointments
• clean and maintain the hospital.
