Registered Nurse Consultant

The Registered Nurse Consultant role is hybrid, combining onsite community visits and remote work, based in Mount Horeb, WI. Pay is $45 per hour, with approximately 12 hours per week minimum. VitaCare Living provides assisted living and memory care in smaller community settings focused on residents’ dignity and purpose. The consultant supports safe, individualized resident care through clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, staff education, and quality improvement. The role helps community teams translate clinical and regulatory standards into consistent practices and maintain survey readiness.

What you'll do

• Complete resident assessments and update Individual Service Plans
• review psychotropic medications, wounds, skin conditions, changes in condition, and new medical orders
• conduct medication cart audits and MAR reviews
• delegate medication administration and verify staff competency
• audit records, training files, incident reports, and emergency documentation
• support survey preparation and plans of correction
• educate staff and coach community leaders
• provide written findings and recommendations.
