Latigo Biotherapeutics’ accounting team partners across the organization to support an accurate and scalable accounting function as the company grows. The role owns close activities and complex accounting areas, reviews accounting work, and strengthens controls and processes. It also supports audits, SOX activities, SEC reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain reliable financial reporting and scalable accounting operations.

What you'll do

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close
• own accounting areas including accruals, payroll and benefits, stock-based compensation, investments, leases, prepaids, cash, and fixed assets
• review journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and close support
• identify accounting risks and control gaps
• coordinate audit requests and support SOX activities
• develop policies and documentation
• lead process improvements
• collaborate on SEC filings and disclosures
• manage and mentor future direct reports.

Why this role
