What you'll do

• Manage Louisiana personal injury cases from filing through resolution
• develop case-specific litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, coverage, defenses, and risk
• draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• handle discovery disputes and court deadlines
• take and defend depositions
• identify and work with experts
• develop mediation and settlement strategy and represent clients in conferences
• prepare cases for trial and conduct trial proceedings
• communicate with clients
• direct paralegals and case managers
• maintain case strategy, deadlines, and status in the case management system.

Why this role

Requires a Juris Doctor, active Louisiana bar admission in good standing, meaningful litigation experience, deposition experience, and knowledge of Louisiana civil procedure. Travel for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials is required.
