What you'll do

• Operate and monitor boilers and auxiliary equipment
• maintain steam pressure and temperature
• adjust combustion controls
• switch between natural gas and fuel oil when required
• test and treat boiler water
• monitor feedwater, condensate, fuel, and steam systems
• maintain pumps, valves, burners, and safety devices
• respond to alarms and trouble calls
• assist with minor repairs and preventive maintenance
• document operating data and incidents
• coordinate major repairs
• follow facility safety procedures.
