The Mid-Level Test Engineer role is an onsite position based in East Carondelet, IL, with an annual salary range of $87,100 to $157,450. This role supports the Chinook Program, contributing to critical national security missions by developing innovative geospatial intelligence capabilities. The role exists to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. As a member of an Agile Scrum team, the engineer will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, automate testing processes, and champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Lead planning, design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies across multiple Agile sprints.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for new and existing capabilities.
• Collaborate daily with software engineers, product managers, system engineers, and Scrum Masters to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality is built into every release.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate application performance, reliability, security, and usability.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Analyze test results, communicate risks, and provide recommendations that improve software quality.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance Agile team effectiveness.
