Family Assistant – Childcare and Household Support

The Family Assistant – Childcare and Household Support role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Pay is $28 per hour, depending on experience. The position supports a family in Myers Park with a two-year-old daughter. The usual schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.; beginning in mid-spring 2027, it transitions to Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. The role combines attentive, developmentally appropriate childcare with household support, with duties shifting according to the family’s needs. It helps maintain the child’s routines and safety while supporting meal planning, household organization, and recurring family tasks in partnership with the child’s mother.

What you'll do

• Provide childcare, including meals, naps, diapering/toileting, dressing, routines, and age-appropriate screen-free activities
• plan and participate in community outings
• partner with the mother on meal planning, grocery shopping, dinner preparation, laundry, household organization, and errands
• help prepare for family travel and reset the home afterward
• provide occasional basic assistance to the family dog.
