The Certified Veterinary Technician — Emergency and Critical Care role is onsite in Springdale, AR. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience, with shift differentials for nights and weekends. The Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of NW Arkansas provides emergency and specialty veterinary care for pets. The technician supports emergency and intensive care by assisting with triage, procedures, diagnostics, surgery, and ICU patient care. The role also partners with veterinarians on patient comfort and client education and helps mentor less experienced staff.

What you'll do

• Triage and prioritize incoming patients
• place IV catheters, central lines, NG tubes, and nasal cannulas
• perform blood draws and transfusions
• assist with imaging and ultrasound-guided procedures
• support ICU patients and maintain chest tubes
• bandage, splint, and assist in surgery
• prepare and interpret samples
• mentor staff
• maintain medical records
• collect and process samples
• position patients for radiographs
• monitor anesthesia and recovery.
