Machine Operator, Second Shift

The Machine Operator role is onsite in Lake in the Hills, IL. The current schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; new hires train on first or second shift for 30 days before transitioning to an assigned schedule. Compensation is $19–$24 per hour, plus a $2.50 second-shift differential. AFC Materials Group makes high-temperature and non-stick composite solutions. The operator runs coating equipment, prepares coating mixes, monitors product quality, and documents process parameters and quality issues. The work supports production of coated materials for industrial applications while following established procedures.

What you'll do

• Operate vertical PTFE coating towers or horizontal coating equipment under supervision
• assist with equipment setup, operation, and shutdown
• prepare and qualify coating mixes
• support designated coating operations
• monitor product quality and adjust processes as needed
• complete run sheets and stock cards
• perform basic ERP inventory and job transactions.
