The Interim Technical Accountant is an onsite role in San Francisco, CA, with a pay range of $90/hr–$120/hr. RGP provides on-demand talent and consulting services to support organizations at every stage of their growth journey. This role exists to advise on and operationalize the revenue impact of complex contracts. The consultant partners with Legal and Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with ASC 606 standards.
What you'll do
- Assist with ASC 606 evaluation for complex arrangements.
- Influence and structure commercial terms with Legal and GTM.
- Operationalize preliminary conclusions.
- Support multiple revenue streams including SaaS and usage-based models.
- Perform and/or review SSP analyses.
- Own technical accounting memos and position papers.
- Build revenue recognition templates for repeatable deal patterns.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience
- Deep technical ASC 606 knowledge with a track record of structuring complex contracts.
