The Memory Care Activities Assistant — Inspire Connections Program role is onsite in Gilroy, CA. Pay is $21.74–$25 per hour. Merrill Gardens at Gilroy is a Montessori-inspired memory care community supporting people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The assistant develops meaningful activity calendars based on residents’ life stories, preferences, and interests, and coordinates community outings, entertainment, and themed events. The program supports resident dignity, choice, independence, and engagement.

What you'll do

• Develop the Garden House Program calendar
• plan activities that support resident dignity, preference, and choice
• use residents’ life story documents to shape programming
• coordinate community bus schedules with the Program Director or Guest Services Manager
• decorate for holidays and theme events
• research, interview, and schedule entertainment within budget
• maintain relationships with community activity resources
• coordinate shadow boxes.
