The Manager, Quality Control role is onsite in Petersburg, VA. Compensation is $100,000–$140,000 per year. Phlow develops and manufactures critical medicines with a focus on improving the security, reliability, and resilience of the U.S. pharmaceutical supply chain. The manager leads laboratory operations and testing for materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients, ensuring quality, compliance, and data integrity. The role builds the QC team and partners across functions to support timely release of materials and products.

What you'll do

• Lead daily Quality Control laboratory operations, testing priorities, and schedules
• review laboratory data and documentation
• ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP, and company standards
• approve batch records, analytical data, SOPs, and quality documents
• lead out-of-specification investigations and support CAPAs
• build and develop laboratory staff
• oversee analytical method validation and verification with Analytical Development
• ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and qualification
• collaborate across Quality, Regulatory, Analytical Development, and Manufacturing.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science; 5–7 years of pharmaceutical QC laboratory experience; and at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role. Knowledge of HPLC, GC, FTIR, wet chemistry, data integrity, regulatory audits, and cGMP is required.
