Senior/Lead Decision Scientist - Data & Analytics

The Senior/Lead Decision Scientist role is an onsite position based in Joelton, TN. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the Data Democratization team at Starbucks. This role exists to power data-driven decision-making across coffeehouse operations, partners, and supply chain domains. The scientist will help shape how insights are translated into action, enabling teams to optimize store performance, improve partner and customer experience, and scale solutions across the enterprise.

What you'll do

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define problem statements, success metrics, and decision frameworks.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
• Guide stakeholders through trade-offs, risks, and implications of data-driven recommendations.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decisions at multiple levels.
