National Fire Alarm Design Manager

The National Fire Alarm Design Manager role is based onsite in Tempe, AZ, with the potential to move to a hybrid schedule after onboarding. Compensation is $150,000–$175,000 per year. The role leads a national design department serving commercial and mission-critical fire alarm projects.

What you'll do

• Lead a national team of more than 30 designers
• manage workloads and schedules
• review drawings for department standards and NFPA, IBC, IECC, and local authority requirements
• oversee fire alarm projects from concept through construction
• conduct quality reviews of design documents, submittals, and permit drawings
• manage design hours and budgets
• provide technical direction during bidding, permitting, and construction
• coordinate with clients and project teams
• mentor designers
• and improve design processes and tools. Requires 20+ years of fire alarm design experience, including 10+ years on complex systems, and 5+ years with 3D design software
• NICET Level IV or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
