The Cook role is onsite in Austin, TX; pay is $18–$19 per hour. At The Reserve at Lake Austin, the cook prepares meals that bring comfort, connection, and enjoyment to residents. The role contributes to residents’ dining experience by preparing and presenting meals that meet recipes, dietary requirements, quality expectations, and food-safety standards, while supporting kitchen operations and the dietary team.

What you'll do

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements
• maintain meal quality, taste, and presentation
• keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitary
• assist with menu planning and meal preparation for daily meals and special events
• follow portion-control standards and assist with food inventory
• accommodate special dietary needs with the dietary team
• engage with residents about dining preferences
• inspect food storage for stocking, labeling, and rotation
• support kitchen team members as needed.
