The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) I role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with a stated salary range of $80,000–$95,000 per year. Tensley Consulting supports the United States Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense through mission engineering. The role supports the security posture of information systems and programs by helping implement security policies, maintain system documentation and configuration records, evaluate security solutions for classified processing, and perform day-to-day security operations. It also supports the Information System Security Manager in maintaining appropriate information assurance posture.

What you'll do

• Support senior ISSOs in implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• prepare and maintain security documentation, including system security plans
• evaluate security solutions for classified information processing
• maintain configuration records for systems and network equipment
• support configuration management of security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware
• maintain operational security posture
• administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
