Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Senior Transmission Line Engineer in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid position with a salary range of $73,450.00 - $132,775.00 per year. This role involves serving as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage and extra-high-voltage overhead and underground systems. The engineer will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in design, perform engineering analyses, and prepare bidding and construction documents, interfacing with clients and project teams.

What you'll do

• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of electrical overhead and underground systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and prepare material procurement and construction documents.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with a minimum of four (4) + years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
