The carpenter helps construct wood-framed and post-frame structures as part of a field construction crew. The work contributes to quality building projects through framing, installation of structural components, safe tool use, and adherence to project plans and jobsite requirements.

What you'll do

• Frame and construct wood-framed and post-frame buildings
• install posts, headers, beams, wall framing, trusses, and purlins
• measure, cut, assemble, and install materials
• perform rough carpentry and structural framing
• install metal roofing, siding, and exterior components as needed
• read measurements and construction plans
• safely operate tools and equipment
• maintain an organized jobsite and follow safety requirements
• travel to regional jobsites as needed.
