Heavy Equipment Mechanic

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic role is onsite in Gardiner, ME, with work in a garage and at job sites in the surrounding region. Pay is $28–$34 per hour, depending on experience. The mechanic repairs and maintains drilling and other heavy equipment to support the company’s field operations. The work includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, field repairs, and documenting maintenance needs while following safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Repair and maintain drill equipment, hoe-rams, skid steers, and other equipment
• perform preventive maintenance
• troubleshoot motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• provide field service and repairs
• coordinate parts and supplies with the Equipment Manager
• use hand and power tools safely
• identify hazards
• complete maintenance records.
