Entry Level CDL Driver

The Entry Level CDL Driver is an onsite role based in Springfield, VT, with average annual compensation between $70,000 and $80,000. This position supports the food distribution operations for Performance Foodservice in the Springfield area. The role exists to provide entry-level drivers with training to safely operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks for local and regional food product deliveries. The driver will perform safety inspections, load and unload freight, and ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with DOT regulations and company service standards.

What you'll do

• Attends and completes driver training programs
• assists driver trainers
• performs pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
• follows DOT regulations
• inspects and secures freight
• drives to and delivers customer orders
• unloads products
• verifies invoices
• collects payments
• maintains logs
• performs housekeeping duties.
