Director of Infrastructure and Security

The Director of Infrastructure and Security role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with stated pay of $200,000–$250,000 per year. At Machina Labs, the director will build the secure, scalable technology foundation supporting its commercial operations and defense-focused subsidiary, Machina Bellator. This player-coach role sets infrastructure and security direction while leading teams and developing capabilities. It supports the company’s growth by scaling enterprise IT, cloud and DevOps infrastructure, cybersecurity, defense compliance, and facility security technology without slowing engineering and operations.

What you'll do

• Set IT, cloud, cybersecurity, and security systems strategy
• lead IT and DevOps teams and build Security Engineering
• guide AWS architecture, reliability, security, and cost management
• establish infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, and production operations
• mature security operations
• lead technical defense compliance and audit readiness
• oversee physical security technology
• develop policies and governance with partner teams.
