What you'll do

• Collect and label specimens
• perform hematology, coagulation, chemistry, bacteriology, blood banking, urinalysis, serology, and blood gas testing
• analyze blood cells, tissues, and body fluids
• identify specimens, conduct technical analysis, maintain instruments, and verify results
• troubleshoot designated equipment
• follow procedures for blood draws in specialized areas
• detect errors or abnormal results and take corrective action
• record and report results accurately
• communicate with laboratory staff and clinicians.
