Support Teacher

Job overview

The Support Teacher role is onsite in Wilmington, NC, with compensation of $15–$16 per hour. The teacher supports children’s learning and development at Primrose School of North Wilmington through purposeful play and the Balanced Learning curriculum. The role exists to help create a safe, well-kept classroom where children build relationships, explore, and develop social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical skills. The teacher works with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans and respond to children’s needs.

What you'll do

• Build relationships with children
• support exploration, motor skills, and vocabulary development
• work with a co-teacher to implement Balanced Learning lesson plans
• maintain a classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions
• adapt teaching to individual children.
