What you'll do

• Clean, stock, and prepare the clinical environment
• perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for laboratory transport
• perform simple laboratory procedures
• take vital signs
• prepare patients for procedures
• assist with patient flow
• answer phones and make appointments
• collect co-pays and payments
• assist with billing
• add information to the electronic medical record.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent, six months of healthcare experience, one year of medical terminology experience, bloodborne pathogen knowledge, clinical pharmacology experience, and BLS certification are required. Medical Assistant certification or EMT and graduation from a medical assisting program are preferred.
