The role leads the nursing department’s daily operations and supports resident care by coordinating staffing and training, maintaining department policies, assisting nursing staff, monitoring quality and survey matters, and addressing resident and staff concerns.

What you'll do

• Coordinate nursing staff recruitment and selection with the Administrator
• review staffing and scheduling for daily PPD requirements
• work with the DSD on in-service training
• assist nursing staff with admissions, medication passes, and wound care
• recommend operational actions to the Administrator
• maintain nursing department policies and procedures
• conduct staff performance evaluations
• review discharge plans and make rounds
• assist with surveys and corrective measures
• monitor quality improvement and survey reports
• review complaints and grievances
• report occupational exposures as required
• attend meetings and committees and complete annual in-service training.
