The Afterschool Teacher, School-Age Classroom role is an onsite, part-time position in Glen Allen, VA, with pay of $17–$22 per hour. The teacher creates a safe, engaging classroom and implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in ways suited to each child. The role also communicates with parents and partners with center staff and leadership to support children’s learning, family relationships, enrollment, and engagement.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming classroom for children to learn and play
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® for school-age children
• provide a safe, nurturing environment
• communicate children’s activities and progress to parents through apps and personal discussions
• partner with center staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement goals
• drive a school bus to pick up children from nearby elementary schools.
