Residential Support Specialist — Part-Time

The Residential Support Specialist role is an onsite, part-time position in Ann Arbor, MI, supporting Avalon Housing’s Dunbar Tower. Pay is $19.04 per hour. Avalon’s mission is to build healthy, safe, and inclusive supportive housing communities as a long-term solution to homelessness. The role provides front-line support to residents by monitoring the front desk and access areas, responding to questions and emergencies, coordinating services, and helping maintain a safe community. Depending on the location, staff may also assist with activities of daily living.

What you'll do

• Check visitors in and out
• answer phones
• monitor security systems and general access areas
• enforce program rules
• respond to crises and emergencies
• coordinate tenant services and contact outside providers
• refer tenants to clinical and other staff
• initiate maintenance requests
• attend meetings and training. Depending on location, may assist with transportation, meals, medication, shopping, and other daily living needs.
