Early Childhood Classroom Teacher

The Early Childhood Classroom Teacher role is onsite in Bristol, VT. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. Bristol Family Center is a full-day, full-year program educating and caring for children from six weeks through six years and their families. The teacher plans and leads developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children’s social, cognitive, and emotional growth. The role also works with families and the teaching team to maintain a safe, healthy classroom and meet center policies and state regulations.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement classroom curriculum and activities based on early learning standards
• model and coach teaching practices
• plan age-appropriate individual and group activities
• communicate with parents through discussions, progress reports, and conferences
• maintain compliance, hygiene, safety, and security
• supervise assistants and volunteers
• maintain records and a professional development plan.
