The winder repairs motors by removing and replacing windings, preparing and connecting coils, and testing equipment. The work helps return industrial motors and related rotating equipment to service while following safety and quality procedures.

What you'll do

• Wind and rewind AC/DC motors, stators, rotors, and armatures
• remove old windings and record winding data
• prepare, insulate, form, install, and connect coils
• perform soldering, brazing, tying, and electrical connections
• apply varnish and complete dip-and-bake processes
• test with Megger, Hi-Pot, or similar equipment
• disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test motors
• follow safety and quality procedures.
