Lead Clubhouse Support Specialist

The Lead Clubhouse Support Specialist role is onsite in San Diego, CA, with travel in the community for clubhouse activities, networking, and outreach. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour. NAMI San Diego provides free education, support services, and advocacy for people affected by mental health conditions; its Clubhouse program supports adults and older adults living with serious mental illness. The lead specialist supports daily clubhouse operations and works alongside members and staff to foster inclusion, mutual respect, and opportunities for recovery. The role supports members’ employment, education, social, wellness, and housing goals, and provides training and coverage for clubhouse activities and transitional employment placements.

What you'll do

• Train and support staff on Clubhouse International Standards
• serve as the assigned clubhouse’s point of contact
• support the work-ordered day
• engage members in clubhouse work and opportunities
• support job development and supported employment
• identify member strengths and support needs
• provide training and coverage for transitional employment placements
• participate in clubhouse social events
• connect members with community resources
• assist with enrollment and goal setting
• document data for Medi-Cal billing
• and obtain and maintain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist or Community Health Worker certification within 90 days if not already certified.
