What you'll do
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party bodily injury, property damage, and liability claims, including litigated claims
- review statements, police reports, medical reports, and legal documents
- handle in-house claims and oversee third-party administrator claims
- interview claimants and witnesses
- determine coverage, liability, injury evaluation, and settlement amounts
- communicate with claimants, attorneys, and other parties
- prepare claim reports and recommendations
- negotiate settlements
- maintain claim records
- monitor insurance laws and regulations
- collaborate with legal teams
- attend mediations or trials as needed.
