Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO)

The Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist role is onsite in Mayfield Heights, OH. Compensation is not specified. The role exists to assess patient needs and deliver comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic services, from treatment planning and device design through fitting, instruction, and follow-up. It contributes to patient outcomes by coordinating with physicians and rehabilitation professionals and supporting clinic operations.

What you'll do

• Assess patient needs and collaborate with physicians on prosthetic and orthotic services
• formulate device designs
• select materials and take measurements
• fit and adjust devices
• instruct patients in device use
• follow up with patients and physicians
• document clinical notes
• support quality, materials management, and clinic practice management. Some duties may include mentoring, on-call or hospital calls, or floating between clinics, depending on operational requirements.
