The Commercial HVAC Technician I role is onsite in Jacksonville, NC, supporting work at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and surrounding installations. Compensation is $35.13 per hour plus $15.25 per hour in fringe benefits, for a stated total compensation package of $50.38 per hour. EMI Services supports mission-critical Department of Defense base operations, facilities maintenance, and logistics. The technician maintains, repairs, replaces, and modernizes commercial HVAC systems to achieve regulated climatic conditions. The work includes troubleshooting equipment, preparing work orders and material estimates, and may include assisting with training lower-level workers.

What you'll do

• Maintain, repair, replace, and modernize commercial HVAC systems
• diagnose and correct malfunctions
• work on split-package, residential-style, light-commercial, mini-split, VAV, and AHU equipment
• use a multimeter and torch for brazing
• prepare work orders and material cost estimates
• may assist in training lower-level workers
• follow workplace safety practices and use PPE.
