The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Bakersfield, CA, with a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. Compensation is not specified. The CMA supports Premier Valley Medical Group physicians and clinical staff in a clinic setting. Under direct supervision, the CMA performs routine patient-care, technical, and administrative duties within the California scope of practice. The role supports efficient patient flow and safe care through clinical assistance, documentation, patient communication, and office operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
• assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
• collect specimens and perform basic laboratory procedures and point-of-care testing
• administer permitted injections and medications under supervision
• maintain electronic records
• support appointments, patient inquiries, and follow-up education
• clean and sterilize instruments and exam rooms
• manage supplies
• follow HIPAA, OSHA, and California healthcare requirements.
