Construction Inspector, Water and Wastewater Projects

The Construction Inspector role is onsite, with location flexibility to choose a home office in Miami, Tampa, or Jacksonville, Florida. Compensation is $64,000–$95,000 per year, dependent upon experience. CPH is a multidisciplinary engineering and architecture firm ranked among the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. The inspector helps ensure construction work on water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipeline projects follows plans, specifications, codes, and safety and quality requirements. The role documents observations and discrepancies, maintains project records, and communicates compliance issues to contractors and clients.

What you'll do

• Conduct on-site construction inspections
• check work against approved utility plans, drawings, specifications, codes, and safety requirements
• review materials and work for quality and applicable AIS/BABA requirements
• review Davis-Bacon wage rates and conduct interviews
• prepare inspection reports and maintain project records
• document incidents and safety violations
• notify contractors and clients of discrepancies.
