Tool and Die Technician – Quality Inspection

The Tool and Die Technician – Quality Inspection role is onsite in Ellabell, GA. Compensation is $31.09 per hour. The position supports Hyundai Steel Georgia’s production and quality standards by maintaining tools and dies and helping prevent product defects. The technician maintains and repairs molds and machinery, works with Production and Quality, and performs quality inspections of materials and products. The combined responsibilities support reliable production and customer satisfaction through equipment upkeep, inspection, and accurate quality records.

What you'll do

• Disassemble, assemble, inspect, clean, and polish molds
• keep mold blades sharp
• assist with mold reassembly and rewiring as needed
• perform supervised light mold repairs with a vendor
• maintain machine preventive-maintenance records
• clean and manage machinery on the blanking line
• work with Production and Quality to address die or equipment issues. Quality inspection duties include inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished products
• using measuring tools to verify specifications
• identifying defects
• documenting results
• and communicating findings.
