Electronics Technician I — Security and Electronic Systems

The Electronics Technician I role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with pay of $26–$39.65 per hour. The technician supports M.C. Dean’s Security and Electronic Systems business unit, which delivers electronic security and related systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The role installs, tests, maintains, and troubleshoots electronic security and IT equipment in the field. By following project plans and safety requirements, documenting work, and maintaining installation quality, the technician helps ensure reliable system operation for customers.

What you'll do

• Install and maintain equipment and systems
• conduct site surveys
• configure hardware and software
• test and troubleshoot systems
• install raceway, cabling, racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware
• terminate and configure electronic devices and network equipment
• follow safety plans and codes
• track tools and document daily work
• mentor junior team members.

Why this role
