What you'll do

• Follow up on claims with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
• review and resolve denied or rejected claims
• contact patients for missing information and billing questions
• maintain compliant records of claim activity and payer interactions
• partner with billing, coding, verification, and vendors to address errors and system issues
• track payer and reimbursement patterns and escalate issues
• assist with eligibility and benefits verification as needed
• identify overpayments and prepare refund requests
• answer inbound billing calls
• monitor accounts receivable and aging reports
• refer accounts to a supervisor or manager as needed.
