Senior Piping Designer

The Senior Piping Designer role is onsite in Mobile, AL; compensation is not specified. Vantage Recruiting is recruiting for a client described as a full-service, multidisciplinary consulting and design engineering firm serving industrial facilities. The designer produces and checks mechanical and piping drawings, gathers field data, and coordinates design work with engineers and other disciplines. The role supports accurate, integrated project documentation for facilities in pulp, refining, gas processing, and petrochemical industries.

What you'll do

• Develop and modify mechanical and piping drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D based on P&IDs, general arrangements, specifications, equipment drawings, and field data
• produce piping isometrics and installation documents
• prepare material take-offs and cost estimates
• recommend design modifications
• conduct field walk-downs and gather measurements
• coordinate CAD work across disciplines
• check drawings for accuracy, standards, and completeness
• communicate scope and design changes.
